So, as I was getting ready for school yesterday I found myself without my lifeline: my makeup bag. Ugh. I had completely forgotten it at my work desk along with the rest of my gym stuff the night before! Obviously, like most makeup junkies out there, I pretty much keep almost all my staples in said bag…. Needless to say, I was at my wit’s end.
The mascara I was stuck with was clumpy; I didn’t have concealer to hide my latest all nighter; and, worse yet, my eyeliner was completely DRY. Like, crying in frustration with eyeliner in fist as I stab the wall kinda dry (I kind of have a flair for dramatics when I’m grumpy and without coffee). When the reality of just how stupid and inane my “dilemma” was is when I had my “A-HA!” moment.
Dummy, you just gotta warm the liner!!
- Light up a candle, a match, or just plain ol’ lighter and hold the eyeliner at least two inches from it for approximately 5 seconds (any more and you may just melt the tip off completely).
- Wait a couple of seconds and test the temperature on the inside of your wrist to be safe
- Alternately, you can also use the blowdryer and hold the eyeliner in front of the nozzle for 30 seconds or until the eyeliner reaches the desired emolliency

It does work! Hallelujah, no more rock hard eye pencils
. Just make sure that you don’t get your pencil too close to the fire or it’ll just melt off completely… a lesson learned the hard way lol.
