Yup! You no longer need to buy pretty pricey eyebrow gel because taming eyebrows is nothing good ol’ Vaseline can’t do on its own.
Just grab your eyebrow spoolie (you can purchase one from MAC or any beauty store; better yet, just ask your fave makeup artist for a disposable one which they have tons of at Sephora) and, ever so lightly, dip the ridges into your tub of vaseline. Wipe off the excess using some tissue and run it along your eyebrows.
Great, huh?! Short of being able to make me cheesecake, Vaseline really can do a lot!

I’d actually never thought of this before, good idea! Hah I will try it tomorrow before I leave the house :3
Hi Luana,
Yes, it’s really effective! If you have Smith’s Rosebud Salve or something similar, that should also do the trick
I’ve tried hair spray on the spoolie before but my eyebrows got “crunchy” hahah
If I could carry only thing in my make up bag for the rest of my life, it would be vaseline.
On days when I don’t want the properly made-up look (which is most days), I just curl my eye-lashes and dip a mascara spoolie (bought the disposable ones in bulk on e-bay) in vaseline and apply to my lashes. I have to reapply once or twice in the day but it’s no hassle because there’s no residue. My eyelashes look fresh and pretty, if I can say so myself.
I also use it on my lips, a hand/elbow/knee moisturizer, eyebrow tamer (as you have discussed) and also as a highlighter below my brow and around my cheek-bone. Also, on a desperate day, I put some on the dry ends of my hair to tame them (though this is not recommended as it coats your hair).
It does help that I have normal to dry skin so it does not end up looking oily. Also, I make sure I only buy vaseline in the travel tubes as I dislike the double-dipping in the tubs.
I love vaseline…as you can probably tell!
Saba, I love your name!!
And thanks for the extra tips
I share your love for good ‘ol vaseline….
OOOHhh and I also have used vaseline as a luminizer!! Works wonderfully; especially during the winter time.
I ran a blog post on using vaseline as an excellent moisturizer during the winter time either in this blog or my earlier one (on blogger).
You use vaseline on your eyelashes?! Girl, yours must be to die for… I would like to wear less mascara (less hassle and less chances of having raccoon eyes lol), but I didn’t get lucky in the eyelash department so I fear I will have to contend with mascara all my life.
Thanks for stopping by
