Ladies, it seems like bright lips are here to stay (for now). Be it bright red, orange, or fuchsia, bright lips are the ultimate in statement makeup. Besides, what better way to celebrate spring than with bright lips?
For red, I LOVE MAC’s Russian Red — it is, however, extremely matte, so well moisturized lips are a must! If you prefer orange, MAC’s Morange is a gorgeous, bright, in your face orange which is great for many skin tones. Nars’ Funny Face or Yves St. Laurent’s 019 Fuchsia Pink are both great.
When wearing bright lipstick, try to keep the rest of your makeup minimal so that your features are not overwhelmed. Also, use a lip pencil closest to the shade of your lipstick for a perfect outline — hey, we’re not attempting to look like this!

Unfortunately this spring is not for me. I don’t like how I look with bright lips, especially red colors. My only favorite from all these spring shades would be fuchsia…but I rarely use it on my lips
. My skin is too white
I haven’t tried fuchsia, yet. But I’m sure there’s a bright shade out there for you. I never thought I could wear red until someone showed me a great shade. But to each their own, right?
I truly believe that makeup shouldn’t be worn unless it feels great on. If you feel awkward, then forget it… you’ll just feel off and miserable until you take it off at the end of the day. And who wants that, right?
