My favourite guy recently celebrated his 8th (in human years) birthday, so to celebrate we bought him a plain vanilla cupcake, lit a candle, took some photos, and finally let him go to town on that cupcake.
Happy Birthday, buddy!!

Personal

Denise tagged me on this fun post, so here goes nothing:
- Greed: What is your most inexpensive beauty item? What is your most expensive? My most inexpensive beauty item is my newly acquired Revlon Colourburst Lip Butter. It was on sale for $3.99 last week so I went buck crazy and bought one shade: Candy Apple. My most expensive item would definitely have to be my AmorePacific Moisture Bound Rejuvenating Serum. Me loves it so.
- Wrath: What beauty product do you have a love/hate relationship with? What product has been the hardest to get? Most hair products. I usually avoid the hair aisle of the drugstore like the plague because I am just really clueless when it comes to styling my hair. I have bought some products in the past with the best intentions, but other than L’Oreal Elnett and Bumble and Bumble Surf Spray they usually end up in the back of my drawer never to be seen again until the next big ‘purge.’
- Gluttony: What are your most delicious beauty products? Hmmm… Believe it or not, I don’t really care if any beauty product I get smells good (except for perfume, obviously!) or tastes good as long as it delivers. But I do think that my Bumble and Bumble Creme de Coco shampoo and conditioner smell very good! I am always reminded of the beach whenever I use it.
- Sloth:What beauty product do you neglect due to laziness? Body lotion. I usually find myself so drained after my shower and applying my million serums and moisturizers that I almost always forget or neglect to apply body lotion. NOT GOOD!
- Pride: What beauty product gives you the most self-confidence? This is HARD! I’d have to say concealer and brow powder. Concealer really gives my eyes that much needed ‘lift’ (I have dark bags since I love to sleep in) and nice brows do wonders for your face.
- Lust: What attributes do you find most attractive in the opposite sex? Humour and nice shoulders. Shoulders are so underrated.
- Envy: What items would you most like to receive as a gift? Okay, my birthday’s coming up, so…. (lol) Beauty: AmorePacific Rejuvenating Crème; Makeup RMS Living Luminizer; and Fitness Polar Heart Rate Monitor. Oooh and a Dyptique candle just like Denise!
Thanks, Denise!!!
I tag… everyone!

My bf took me took me to Paisano’s for our 9th year anniversary. The place is on the small side, the dining room was a little loud and dated, but our dinner was pretty good.
We ordered their grilled calamari to start. I think this was my absolute favourite dish of the evening. The calamari was marinated very, very well and it wasn’t overcooked. Nothing is worse than chewy calamari. Also, grilled calamari > deep fried calamari, in my opinion.
He ordered the Shrimp and Scallops Pasta: black tiger shrimp, fresh sea scallops & fresh tomatoes with linguine pasta, all tossed in tomato sauce.
He asked the server for a touch of shaved fresh parmesan.
I had been craving for pizza all week, so I ordered their Veggie Lovers’ Pizza. It had basil, mozzarella cheese, green peppers, roasted red peppers, tomatoes, mushrooms and green olives and the crust was thin-medium. I thought it was okay. They could have used grilled or even finely sliced tomatoes instead of just dumping huge chunks of uncooked tomatoes which really weighed my pizza down. Note to self: just get two orders of grilled calamari next time.
Obviously a little CARB-deprived, we went to Wimpy’s Diner after for some desserts. Pancakes for him.
And apple pie a la mode for me.
