Okay, I’m a little embarrassed to admit this, but I play favourites when it comes to my skin. I’m so OCD when it comes to the skin on my face, but I’m pretty horrible the rest. With summer fast approaching, (or is it here already?) I decided to break this bad habit and finally start paying some attention to these poor neglected areas. I wanted something creamy and very moisturizing, but light and fast absorbing.
Enter Lavanila. All of Lavanila products are without: parabens, sulfates, synthetic fragrances, synthetic dyes, petro-chemicals, phthalates, GMO, and triclosan. The body butter itself (I bought Vanilla Passion Fruit) smells absolutely DIVINE. Like, I’m not even kidding how wicked this body butter smells. It has a very creamy texture, but was absorbed by my skin very, very quickly without any greasy residue. A 2.7mL tube will cost you $12 which is admittedly a little on the expensive side, but a little goes a LONG way. My only real complaint is that Sephora only carries this dinky sized tube with the exception of Vanilla Coconut. Great for those who want to give the brand a try, definitely not great for returning customers. Would I re-purchase? Yes.

Oddly enough, I have never tried any of Lavanila’s products! I was tempted to try their deodorant because I’m allergic to pretty much any and all drugstore ones (I’m even allergic to non-drugstore ones, like Biotherm’s), but I decided on Malin + Goetz’s instead, which is phenomenal.
This body butter sounds nice but 78 grams is so little!
I would use that in less than a month…
Denise! I have the deodorant and guess what? It gave me this weird allergy reaction! Maybe because I used it during my hair removal treatment (no reaction before the treatments) – so I had to stop using it! Smells really great though! I love it!
Denise, I was also thinking of trying their deodorants, but I still have a gajillion half used sticks at home, so body butter was the most logical purchase I could make from that brand. And you’re allergic? What ingredient??
And you’re telling me. I just bought it and I’m more than halfway done — I’m sure you can tell since you can pretty much see through that bottle. lol
Irene, I vaguely remember seeing a photo of your deodorants! And that is weird, no? What type of procedure was it? Maybe there was a chemical used during treatment that didn’t mix well with the deodorant? And that so sadsies because their deodorants are quite expensive!
LOL, “most logical purchase.” EVERY PURCHASE IS A LOGICAL PURCHASE. (At least, that’s what I tell myself when I’m about to spend an exorbitant amount of money on something that is way too over-priced. A.k.a. most cosmetics.)
I think I’m allergic to aluminum or alcohol or something. I say that because the Malin + Goetz one is aluminum- and alcohol-free.
I used to think it was fragrance, but I’m not allergic to fragrance in my body lotions or shower gels or whatnot, so I vetoed that possibility.
