Back in October, I ordered a few things from MAC and included in said order was Lady Danger. I had never swatched it on myself, but had seen it on Martine many times (including this post she kindly allowed me to do). Some time after that, or was it in between? Anyway, Denise, the MAC fairy, gave it a glowing review and I knew right then that I had to try it for myself.
Lady Danger is a vivid bright coral-red that goes on SUPER opaque. It is much, much warmer than Russian Red (I don’t have Ruby Woo to compare) and it’s more coral than it is red. It has a Matte finish which is great, but I wish MAC’s matte lipsticks weren’t quite so drying on the lips. Oh. Well. It does look fantastic on. My BF is not a huge fan, but I received so many compliments from other gals and one gay guy (you know it’s a great lipstick when gay guys stop you to ask what shade it is you’re wearing!) on my recent trip to Vegas. Besides, I honestly don’t think girls wear lipsticks to impress guys. We wear it for each other and I’m sure that if it were up to them, every girl would wear a pink-ish nude shade.
I LOVE this shade!
