It’s a Beautiful Day

Don’t you just love it when the smallest things brighten up your day? Like a perfectly brewed cuppa (oh, it’s always about the caffeine with me) or reading a great book outside in the shade. Or a nice cool breeze. Oooh and chocolate covered almonds with funnel cake on the side. YUM!

Woke up pretty late today (9:00 am); usually wake up at 6:00 am nowadays to go for an early morning run — always a great way to start the day then a nice big breakfast, but I just feel so sluggish and lazy today. Think it’s because I’m always on the go during the week and sometimes don’t rest as much as I ought to.

Am planning on renting a movie tonight, have some popcorn and sleep early. Looking forward to that!

Here’s a song that I just can’t get enough of. The video is equally awesome if not ingenious. LOVE LOVE LOVE!

Sounds like a wonderful day, Mary! I’m sure you deserve a late morning after all that running, and I can recall reading you being able to wear short shorts – sounds like you can give yourself a bit of rest =)

Uh oh, that cake looks dangerously good!

Hey Pinch!

It was a great day! Simple, but sometimes that’s all you need to be perfectly content :D .

And that was for hot yoga — shorts are way more comfortable to wear than pants since there’s less clinging all over… but the summer here has been horrendous this year so I’ve practically been living in shorts.

And you’ve never tried funnel cake?? Fried buttermilk batter with vanilla ice cream topped with strawberry sauce and with a healthy dollop of whipped cream on the side. MmmmMMmmm You must try it if and when you visit Canada or the US.
