The Good
- This is without a doubt the most silky and smooth lipstick I have ever put on. Ever. It feels like butter on my lips!
- Excellent pigmentation. I didn’t expect it to have such great colour pay off since most creamy lipsticks I have tried in the past didn’t really
- VERY hydrating. You can totally skip the lip balm if your lips are not dry.
- Goes on silky and leaves your lips with a slight sheen, but I love that it’s not in-your-face shiny.
- The case itself is perfect. It’s gold and shiny (what more can a gal ask for?!) with YSL’s logo wrapped around the handle. You can’t see it from the photos, but the lid itself has a little mirror which is perfect for touch ups. Check out Denise’s page to see the mirrored lid.
- Provides your lips with some protection from the sun (SPF 15).
The Bad
- I don’t know if this is true for the rest of the collection, but Faubourg Peach really highlighted my dry lips, so be sure to keep your lips flake-free.
- The price alone is a huge setback. I suggest you get a shade you know you’ll wear often to get the most bang for your buck.
The Bottom Line
Expensive, BUT excellent product. The texture itself is so worth the price tag for me. I will definitely buy again.

Yeah, mine has a small cap mirror that really helps when I’m pressed for time. It’s so weird that yours didn’t come with one.. I was sure it’s standard since that’s how the tube was designed.
Let me know how it works out! I love to layer it on top of brighter pinks/oranges to create that perfect “nude” lip look.
