Yesterday was Canada Day and I celebrated it by working. Le Sigh. Anyway, this is a photo of my one and only at the park some time ago. I swear, he is a thousand times more photogenic than I will ever be. He’s a natural! I on the other hand struggle with taking photos — I’m either caught at half smile or I blinked.
I’ll now leave you with an old music video of one my favourite songs made during a time when young and innocent love was actually sung about. Why don’t they make music like this anymore? Anyway, love the 90′s hats

what a ham you dog is! LOL so fierce! i know what you mean about the songs today not being able to compare to the ones we used to listen to before. i also LOVE this song by shanice! it brings back so much junior high memories!
He’s actually far from fierce… he’s very mellow and easy going. Needless to say, he’s not a great guard dog. We often joke around that he’ll actually welcome burglars in.
And 80′s and 90′s songs are the best ever, no doubt about it. I miss when music videos actually portrayed young and innocent love. They all have that “glow” to them, do they not? Anyway, now we’ve got singers like Miley Cyrus dictating to little girls that they “can’t be tamed.” Boo!

Do you also have a retriever?! I love him so much… he takes all of my stress away. He can sense when I’m really sad and will comfort me by just sitting in front of me. Plus he’s so, so, so loyal it’s amazing!
