Hermione Emma recently posted a facebook status update in which she announced her bold decision to chop it off — all of it. And by it she meant her hair.

“Dear all. Cut my hair off a few days ago… Feels incredible. I love it,” she writes and adds that she has “wanted to do this for years and years.”

Do you like the look on her? I didn’t at first, but then it grew on me. Now I do kind of love it on her — and she does have the face to pull it off. The Pixie cut, in my opinion, is one of the hardest hairstyles to pull off. I’ve always wanted to just cut my crazy hair down to an inch or so from the roots but then I’d be taking a huge gamble. Like 50-50. 50 percent I’ll feel great and fierce and look like I can actually carry off such a daring style. The other 50 percent? I’ll look like a giant mushroom and cry for months or give up and get a wig.

But I do dream of one day feeling such a huge weight off my head. Emma did say that the experience was “the most liberating thing ever.” Well, I’d love to feel liberated, too! lol

Here are some other celebrities who rocked the pixie cut.

Emma is so gorgeous, she would be beautiful with a green mohawk, I’m sure. What I fear most about chopping my hair off that much is that embarassing in-between stage. The growing-out-my-hair-stage. Ack. I cut my hair to my shoulders last year and now I finally have long hair again! :)

You know what, I can see her doing that and still look so chic. bahh

ALSO dislike that in between stage.. but maintaining a short hairstyle can get so expensive since it requires so much upkeep.

Always try to keep my hair long or at least mid-length because of my hair. I have really thick and unruly hair so when I was a kid I wanted to get bob. This was before I discovered the wonders of blow-drying one’s hair so my hair was shaped like a pyramid all through my elementary life.
