The Emmy Awards was on earlier which pretty much means that half the world stopped whatever they were doing to watch the Red Carpet, Ooh-ing and Ahh-ing at the gowns. My fave? Well, it was none other than Drew Barrymore who arrived wearing a Monique Lhuillier piece. By the way, I had no idea she (Monique) was Filipino until my aunt mentioned it to me last year.
Loved the light-rose or peachy-pink or salmon (I’m clearly colour blind!) gown on her…. So understated, yet so elegant! What I loved even more was her simple makeup. Can you believe she’s 34?! She doesn’t look a day over 25. And those lips. Wow!
“For Drew Barrymore’s look, I was thinking Grace Kelly with a modern edge,” said Debra Ferullo on the inspiration for the look.
For the eyes, Ferullo used gold, brown, and maroon shadow. She kept the cheeks simple by using just some cream blush. As for the lips, “It was important to keep them super-matte for that classic vibe,” she added.
Of course, I have to add a little movie blurb I just seem to love to do nowadays… Has anyone ever watched Ever After? It’s quite old, but it’s possibly one of the most romantic movies out there. I remember watching it over and over and over and over. Even went as far as buying the book on which the movie was based. Haha, yeah. It was great. It had size 14 font came with colored movie stills and all.
Anyone else watch the Emmy’s red carpet. Wait, does anyone even watch the full award show after that? And Neil Patrick Harris is hilarious. Period.

I’ve seen her dress, she look pretty but I’m not into peachy colors, especially when it comes to outfit:) I would definitely chose another color, smth more vibrant
Hi Tavia,
Thank you for dropping by
. I’m actually quite into peachy colors, but only because I don’t have the guts to do really vibrant colors haha. But when you mentioned that, I immed. thought of Blake Lively’s gown.
That girl is so gorgeous, it just isn’t fair.
P.s. Girl, you have gorgeous skin!
