A week ago Revlon’s Colourburst Lip Butter went on sale at the local drugstore for $3.99 down from the regular retail price of about $10.99. I’d read many glowing reviews about the line, so I just had to take advantage of this sale — it was too good to pass up! Anyway, about half an hour later, I walked out with a WHOPPING one shade: Candy Apple. So typically me.
I’ve tried many lip butters in my life, so I wasn’t expecting that much from Colourburst Lip Butter, but, oh MAN (!), it applies and feels like a luxe lip product. It is not too shiny (one point), non-sticky (plus another point), and has great colour payoff for a lip butter (and another one!).
The packaging is very good as well. The top part of the cap is completely clear, so you know what shade it is and it’s pretty sturdy. The cap closes with a click and doesn’t open so easily which is great because nothing’s worse than opening your bag to find your favourite lipstick all covered in lint.
Revlon’s Colourburst Lip Butter is formulated with mango, shea and coconut butter formula. It has pretty decent staying power and kept my lips pretty moisturized. Candy Apple is a warm red with orange undertones.
Overall, I’d say that this is a stellar product worthy of your attention even at regular price.
