in Out and About, Photography

Last week, I went to Boston — or Bawstin — for a relative’s wedding with my family. We did all the tourist-y stuff and visited tourist traps. It was fun.

That city is brimming with history and beautiful architecture new and old. So, for the history buffs out there, make sure to visit Boston at least once in your life. If shopping’s more your cup of tea, then you should definitely visit — NO TAX on clothes! The food was out-of-this-world incredible and fresh. Obvious must-tries include: steamed lobster (poor guys), clam chowder, baked clams, lobster rolls, etc.

But if there’s one thing I realized during this trip, it’s that I kind of wish I had a Boston accent. Like, who wouldn’t stop to listen to me say, “Pahk the cahh aftahh that street. It’s not that fahh.”

LOL @ you with a Boston accent!!! It’s actually one of the most hideous accents in the US, for serious.

Boston is one of those cities that you should go to once in your life. When I went, I mostly remember buying a ton of Illamasqua at the Sephora in the Prudential Center. And visiting Harvard. And eating at The Cheesecake Factory. And walking around historical Boston (Freedom Trail). And seeing the Renoirs at the Museum of Fine Arts.

But I don’t feel the need to go again… :P

Also, that soldier dude is SUPER creepy.

And that photo of the graveyard is definitely keeping your blog edgy. ;)

Why do you find it funny?!?? LOL! Imagine me doing my chicken voice with a Bawstin accent. Oh. God. And I kind of like the sound of it. I used to think it was such an ugly accent (Mayor Quimby!) until The Town with Ben Affleck.

I actually kind of missed Harvard. We took one of those trolley tours and drove by it. I guess I was super distracted because the only thing I remember was getting off to walk through MIT and that was sort of it. And hahahaha OF COURSE you would have been at the Sephora (didn’t get a chance to visit!)

But you’re right… it doesn’t have the appeal of New York. Yes, the people in NY are a lot more rude, at least from what I remember, but there’s a certain je ne sais quoi about that city.

That dude stayed there for a few minutes longer than he had to because he could see me snapping away lol!

And you know how edgy I am! :-P

LOL you know, if there’s one characteristic Bulldogs stand out for it’s that they always sound like they’re dying. All that wheezing and panting would make me so nervous as a pet owner. Cute guys, though! Have you seen one riding a skateboard? Super old but still SUPER CUTE.

Yes! Bulldog on a skateboard, pretty darn cool!
I’ve spend hours on YouTube watching Frenchie pups rolling on their back…if you haven’t seen that before, it’s melt worthy! They’re trying so hard to get back on their feet – like upside down potato bugs, lol…but squishier!

Yeah, I’ve seen that French pup just rolling on his back! Poor guy lol!!!

And I don’t think I’d consider potato bugs squishy in ANY way ahhahahaha

Your pictures are fantastic! Boston is definitely on my list of places to visit. And I’m with Denise that the accent is on the hideous side. lol

I think you’d love it since you’re so big on classic literature.
