Baby it’s Cold Outside

Omigosh, could it be?!? It’s now the 4th of December and I didn’t even feel November pass!

Anyway, SINCE it’s that time of the year, I thought, “self, why not do a Christmas wish list post, and ask the bf if he ever checks this blog?” I. Am. A. Genius(!).

See, I like to make lists of all kinds, so this was really fun, if not merely wishful thinking.

Counterclockwise (because everyone seems to go clockwise and I happen to be a rebel!) from top:

  1. Kiehl’s Hand and Body Lotion (in French Rose): I love the smell of French rose; a timeless, classic scent. Oh, and who doesn’t love Kiehl’s? Their lotions are super moisturizing without giving your skin that I-just-took-a-dip-in petroleum feel. Heavenly.
  2. Shiseido Benefiance Eye Cream: Super rich which means that it’s perfect for the drier winter months. I’m not crazy about the scent, but the quality more than compensates for that.
  3. Burberry Brit: Notes include Italian Lime, Icy Pear, Green Almond, White Peony, Sugared Almonds, Amber, Mahogany, Vanilla, Tonka Bean — wait, what the heck is a TONKA BEAN? Anyway, this is my favouriteand I’m fresh out.
  4. Starbucks Gift Card: caffeine. ‘Nuf said.
  5. Flat Boots: I love flat boots. The laces on these ASOS, I belive that’s the brand, boots give them that je ne sais quoi.
  6. Benefit High Beam: My favourite luminizer, although I have yet to try the famous Multiple by Nars. Looks like nailpolish, which struck me as somewhat odd at first, but this gives your skin a very soft and precise sheen.
  7. Ray Ban wayfarers: The best brand of sunglasses, if you ask me. I had a white pair which I lost, regrettably. Only hope its new owner is treating it right :( .
  8. AA Slim Slack in any non-neon, tie dyed wash: I have tried a lot of jeans. In the last year of high school, I thought expensive jeans were the only way to go. Wrong. Jeans, or almost anything for that matter, don’t have to be expensive because they’re not all universally flattering. For a while now, I have been crazy about Calvin Klein jeans (You wanna know what comes between me and my Calvins? Nothing.) jeans as I find that they fit my shape the best. However, a little over a month ago, I discovered the wonder that is American Apparel Slim Slack. It’s the closest I’ll go to a skinny jean.
  9. Buffy the Vampire Slayer Box Set: Please please please please!! Oh, I only long for a bag bucket of popped corn, mango juice, and this on my dvd player. Unlike most of the vamp films out there, this manages to be simultaneously dark and heartwarming without being overtly so. Plus, XANDER!!
  10. Snake Ring Thingamajig:Just because it looks so bad-ass. End of story.
  11. Shu Uemura Cleansing Beauty Oil A/O: I absolutely love how much gunk this product takes off my skin. What’s more is that it doesn’t unnecessarily strip my skin of its natural oils. Yay for that!
  12. MAC blush in Cubic: A soft muted pink without a hint of shimmer or glitter that won’t leave your cheeks looking dirty. I absolutely adore this blush. It’s perfect for the daytime or nighttime and, I believe, will suit almost any skin tone.

If aforementioned things are not, for whatever reason, available, then I’ll be more than content with six geese a-laying, five golden rings, four calling birds, three French hens, two turtle doves, and a partridge in a pear tree.

What’s on your Christmas list?

Hi Mary! Well December is my favorite month of the year even though I know it’s cold and winter but it’s the most beautiful month, not only because it’s my Birthday but because all the cities are covered in light and I like these atmosphere of Happy Holidays. I know it’s cold and sometimes I can’t stand it….but well :) December has some good things too. I’m with you on your taste for flat boots :)

Hi Tavia!
Same here. I love winter and snow — I even welcome the really cold weather with semi-reluctant arms — but I can’t stand slipping on hardened ice or snow slush (esp. when it floods the insides of your shoes…eww!)

I just love the festive spirit of December. And flat boots lovers UNITE!

I love the Shu Uemura Cleansing Oil? I really wanted to buy the pink bottle because, hello, it’s pink! I ended up with the yellow. It works well… even though it’s not pink. :P

Also, those ASOS boots are awesome.

OMG I AM THE EXACT SAME WAY… my bf and I were talking about laptops some time ago and said I’d choose an HP netbook with the Vivienne Tam design instead of cheaper laptop with way better specs. My reason? It’s got pretty flowers on it!

And, yes, those boots are so to die for. Love love love flat boots.. Not a huge fan of heels because a) I can’t walk in them and b) they pinch (stupid feet!).
