Megan Fox, who? Here’s Angeline Jolie at her hubby’s (no intro needed because, in all seriousness, who doesn’t know?) movie, Inglorious Basterds, premiere in Hollywood looking simply gorgeous. This lady does leather like no one else, no? Seriously, she could be sporting a potato sack and still look gorgeous, as far as I’m concerned.
I’m loving the simple, understated smokey eye on Angelina. Paired with muted lips, it’s makeup heaven!
To pull off the same look, here are some tips:
- try to avoid dark black eye shadows and opt for deep plums, rich browns, or even dark blues instead. The result is just as dramatic without being too overwhelming to the eyes.
- avoid wearing overly bright or dramatic colours on your lips — the resulting effect is just too much.
- similarly, try to keep the colour on your cheeks toned down. Imagine having bright cheeks, dramatic eyes, and lips — there’s just too much going on right? I like to think of smokey eyes as pulling attention to your eyes, and your eyes only.
And while we’re at it, is her hair not effortlessly perfect, or what?!

I really admire Angelina Jolie for her humanitarian work. So many celebrities don’t take the time to give back to the people that helped them achieve all their dreams and goals.
Hi Warren,
I do admire her for her humanitarian work also…
And thank you for pointing that out! So many celebrities nowadays, if you could call them that, do nothing positive or charitable with their fame. Which is why I really like Angelina Jolie for her humanitarian work, if nothing else.
