A Few Favourites

Work has been very CRAZY busy lately that I haven’t had time for anything more than eat, workout, walk the doggy, and sleep. I hope it starts to die down a little, but I’m not holding my breath.

Here are a few recent favourites that help make the weekdays somewhat more bearable.

Whole Wheat Ciabatta Panini with Pesto, Arugula, Spinach, Mushrooms, Tomatoes, and Fresh Mozarella
I am so obsessed with these whole wheat ciabatta bread from Bizu Patisserie. I can eat them all day, everyday. Problem is, it’s in the Philippines, so I requested for four bags when my dad flew back home.

Essie in Who’s She Read
Yes, it is more of a fall shade, but I just LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this creamy crimson polish. It applies so smoothly and no more than 2 coats are needed.

Dairy Queen’s Ice Cream Sandwich
I LOVE Ice Cream Sandwiches (I really don’t get why some pronounce sandwich like “sanGwich). While Skinny Cows are my favourite, this one by the Dairy Queen is also pretty darn good.

Dianne von Furstenberg Ilias
Am always, always, always, ALWAYS in flats. Wanted to stir up my daily work attire so I caved in to these Dianne von Furstenberg heels. They’re so comfortable!

There’s nothing I don’t like about this post! :) I think Essie’s red polishes are where they excel; the ones I’ve tried are always excellent in application. It’s too bad I don’t wear a lot of red polish (except for… right now…); I tend to go for really bright or really dark/pale, and Essie’s are kind of terrible. :(

I haven’t had an ice cream sandwich in so long… this post is inspiring me to go Dairy Queen ASAP. As if I needed convincing… :P

And those shoes are gorgeous; I never wear heels, ’cause I have to stand for eight hours. :( I am perpetually in flats. Speaking of which, I need to stop by Ardene and get some 2 for $20 flats… I totally dropped foundation on my black faux-suede shoes and they are now ruined. Thank god for cheap shoes!

Hey, I just remembered that you had red nails yesterday! I liked them!!!

And I know what you’re talking about — I bought a dark shade from Essie and I kind of really hate it. Blech.

You NEED to go to Dairy Queen for a chocolate dipped cone, strawberry cheesecake Blizzard, ice cream sandwich or all of the above.

And thanks for introducing me to the wonderful world of 2/$20 shoes at Ardene. Love it!

Thanks again for the goodies :-D

Thank ya!

I’m so not committed to wearing heels unlike many gals out there just because of how uncomfortable they get after a few hours, but this pair is very comfy!

Thanks, Ivy!

I was so bored at work one day and decided to change it. The other one was just so old and stale.

Those heels are soo gorgeous :)
And ice cream sandwiches are AWESOME :) We have a brand here called Puffet and they make amazing ice cream sandwiches… they come in mint, vanilla, chocolate and strawberry :)
Then Ben & Jerrys also have one that I ADORE :)
´When I look at the food on the first picture and you mention mushrooms I get so hungry :D I found some chanterelles on Friday and my fiancé made this awesome white sauce with chanterelles and onion :D we put it on some crispbread with a piece of ham on top :) Wow it was soo good :)

Thanks, Anna!

Oooh, I love my ice cream sandwich old fashioned: vanilla ice cream sandwiched in between two moist, delectable chocolate cookies/cake. And I also LOVE Ben and Jerry’s! My favourite is their Chocolate Fudge Brownie Frozen Yogurt. Yummmmmy!

And it’s great your fiancé cooks! He must spoil you a lot ;-)

I have to ask – how can you walk with high-heels – I never understood that in women :-)
