Photos in lockets, what? Those are so 1800′s. Nowadays saying ‘I Love You’ is as easy as getting their faces pasted on your nails.
Katy Perry showed off her ultra unique nail design which featured various photos of her beau, Russell Brand, at the MTV VMA’s a few weeks ago. I’m sure this was achieved using the Minx technology which I had written about a few blog posts prior. Seems like Minx is all the rage in the celebrity-sphere nowadays.
Okay I’ll admit to being a little partial to muted nail polish, so this is so no for me. Actually, it’s more like a “Do not ever…” But I don’t know — is it mean of me to think that this is really weird?
Well, I guess I’ll be sticking with normal photo frames/albums.
What do you think? Would you ever personalize your nails with photos of your loved ones/significant other?
I’m in the middle of doing some major renovations to this little blog of mine. So please bear with me as I spend another couple of weeks losing sleep over design and other technical stuff that are making my head hurt right now.
I have a TON of new reviews coming (umm compulsive shopper here?) and, as per usual, great tips, tricks, and everything in between. I really do apologize for the lack of blog posts as of recent. Work is not really related with my blog and I am always working, so there you go. Time away from work means time with my loved ones and, if I’m lucky, decent sleep. But I do promise to kick my bum and put the pedal to the metal.
Anyway, I sometimes like to leave you all with music that I love so here’s Radiohead’s Creep which is one of my most favourite songs of all time. Isn’t there something about this song that just makes you want to run faster, and harder? Like you just want to let out your angst, run out that door whilst screaming at the top of your lungs. A little TMI? Umm, yes. Sorry.
Yup, your beloved yogurt can also do wonders for your skin.
Loaded with Lactic Acid (milk acid), yogurt is a very refreshing way to invigorate the skin. It sloughs off dead skin cells, and firms up the face. And since it’s always in the fridge, its cool temperature ensures your skin will feel really soothed.
How to:
Take off your makeup (if you have any on) and clean your face using a mild exfoliating scrub. If you’ve run out, simply add some granulated sugar into your usual cleanser and exfoliate gently.
Grab your favourite plain yogurt (higher fat = better) and go to town.
Leave on for 15 minutes then wash off with a gentle cleanser
Moisturize per usual
While we’re on the topic, I’d just like to profess my undying love for yogurt. I’m not big on the flavoured kind; am all about plain, baby! All day, everyday. Starbucks has this Greek Yogurt parfait that I just can’t resist. Which reminds me, I need to cut up some berries and add a huge dollop of yogurt on top — yummm!
Also, please avoid this if you are allergic to dairy! As with everything else, apply some yogurt on your inner wrist and wait a few minutes to see if you have any type of reaction.
