So, it seems that everyone`s after the dewey, glowing skin for the summer. Well, w hat`s not to love about this understated, fresh, polished, and youthful look for those hot summer days?? Effortless looking, but still looks well put together. Love it!

As it can get quite humid here in Toronto during the summer, it is ideal to use as little makeup as possible to avoid “caking up.” So, this means try to steer away from liquid foundations with heavy coverage and go for mineral makeup instead as it is able to withstand the heat much more. Also, you don’t want to cover up your entire face with the stuff. So, as much as possible, just spot correct problem areas. If you don’t have mineral makeup, that’s fine. Just use your tinted moisturizer instead.

Tinted moisturizers are so lightweight and sheer that they don’t have the same cake-y effect on the skin. It is meant to even out the skin only, not to correct or mask imperfections.

Dewey skin is really quite easy. All you need is an illuminator, some blush, and your trusty blush brush. Sometimes you don’t even need a brush to apply your illuminator — as is the case with Benefit’s High Beam (mentioned in my original Dewey Skin post.)
So, let’s proceed to the good stuff, shall we?
